Preventing Asylum Homelessness

Specialist advice for asylum seekers at risk of homelessness in Greater Manchester.

Homelessness is a huge problem in the asylum system.  Asylum seekers routinely fall through the gaps ending up hungry, homeless and cut off from any support.

Our Preventing Asylum Homelessness project works with especially vulnerable asylum seekers (people with health issues, women and children) who have had their first asylum claim rejected but are unable to return to their home country.

We help people to escape the streets by finding safe and secure accommodation.

Without the project’s help many would remain homeless, unable to make practical decisions about their future and at risk of exploitation

A safe place to sleep is often the first step towards getting a life back on track. Our Preventing Asylum Homelessness wants to achieve this for as many people as possible.
